We not only have the academic credentials, we also have personal experience with the disease of addiction. I know. I’m talking about myself, me — Joseph Gentile — founder of Enlightenment Recovery of Santa Cruz and participant in a struggle and triumph over these ruggedly persistent diseases.
When it comes to substance abuse, I’ve been there and overdone that, but learned a remarkable amount in that process. I’ve trained and studied and now have powerful and proven tools not only to help you overcome addiction, but to go on as I have to live a healthy, joyous and enlightened “second life.” That’s a new life I want to share with and make available to you.
My practice is my passion and helping to transform lives is something I treasure every day. It is an honor to assist people struggling with addictions to alcohol and drugs. My highly professional staff and I help people move up from the bottom rung to a higher level of existence via our proven techniques centered on new thinking, behavior modification, motivational therapy and more. The goal we set — and are blessed to achieve frequently — is to guide people with substance abuse challenges to happy, healthy, productive lives.
Enlightenment Recovery of Santa Cruz offers help, hope and results to individuals and families in need of substance abuse out-patient rehabilitation extending to opiate/methamphetamine/prescription drug addiction treatment and more. In addition, we guide our clients and their loved ones to recovery resources beyond ours. We’ve also learned through experience that a necessary part of successful recovery is behavior modification.

Joseph offers a much needed service in a private setting. He truly understands addiction/alcoholism and presents many coping skills.
